Here we will go over how to set up the Dokobit actions in a journey, here are the steps needed. You can put these actions into you own journeys when ever you need to send a document to be signed.

Add actions to create a document, fill it out and convert it into a PDF. That PDF is then sent to e-signing with Dokobit.

Formatter action

Select the file from "Convert document" action above

In function, select "File digest sha256"

Send to signing action

The Digest Value is from the Formatter action above and the Content is the file to be sent, from the "Convert document" action above.

Below this you need to fill out the information about who is signing the document. Usually this is the traveller but for employee contract this is often the manager or HR as well. It is required to put in one person that should sign the document, press "Add more" to add people to sign.

The Postback Url is taken from the Webhook setup, go to the integration setup and find the Webhook and copy the link from here

Troubleshooting - if this action does not run make sure the following is set correctly

  • That the "files_content" field is set as a File type

  • That the Postback Url in the "Send to signing" action is the same as the Webhook url

Webhook action

Get the Token from the "Send to siging" action

Get document file

This is the same setting as the webhook above, but will not run unless the webhook is fininshed

Now the document has been signed and you can use it in other actions, like sending the file as an attachment to the employee or upload it into the payroll system.

Send e-mail action

- with the signed document as an attachment

Select Field map

and then select the file from "Get document file"
