Now you can fully automate a birthday journey for your employees. Send out emails/sms on birthdays, create special greetings for big birthdays and order flowers/gifts for your employees etc.
First of all you need to have setup the custom birthday integration.
Here below is an example of an idea for a journey where a birthday greeting is sent by email on every birthday, branch to the left.
On big birthdays a reminder is sent to the manager x days before the birthday to order a gift etc, middle branch.
Then at last the traveller is added again to the journey 1 day after his birthday so the greetings are automated every year, branch to the right.
After running the Afmæli (kennitala) action, you will see the response data from the integration appear in the right-side panel. This data can be used in your journey: Birth Date, Next Birthday, Current Age, Age After Next Birthday and Is Big Birthday.

This is a simple example of an introduction to set up this journey. Here are the main settings to keep in mind.
Create an new action and now under Custom integrations you can see Birthday greetings and expand it to choose the "Afmæli (kennitala)"
You need to make sure the traveller has a existing SSN field filled out to make this work. Map in this field for Kennitala.
You map in "Is Big Birthday" from the integration Afmæli (kennitala)
Create a condition action "Wait until # date" and set it like this so the action is only triggered if it is not a big birthday
If it is a big birthday then you would have the condition as " Is true"
Next choose when to trigger this action by putting in the action "Wait until #date"
5. At last you can send email or sms on the traveller's birthday by using "Send email" or "Send sms" action. For an example:
Now you should have the info to make two different branches for NOT a big birthday and a big birthday.
For the last branch where you want to always keep the travellers in this journey and start them auto again after their birthday. To do that you need to create new "Wait until #date" action, map in the "Next Birthday" from Afmæli (Kennitala) integration and choose "After date" and for an example set to 1 day after the birthday then the traveller is started again in the journey.
Now we want to send the traveller back to the beginning of this journey after his birthday.
Choose the action "Add traveller to journey":
